Panel Discussion: Narrating History Through Photographs In-Person / Online
The International Archives Week is about exposing archival collections in the custody of archival institutions. The focus of this year’s Archives Week will be photographs which is a medium that is used to capture significant moments in history and individual memories about events.
A panel discussion led by Mr. Nikile Ntsababa facilitated by Mr. Tshitso Challa will engage Mr Nico Moolman, Mr. Patrick Mokanyane, Mr. Teboho Setena and Mr Dan Xangaza about matters relating to the significance of photographs in narrating and preserving societal memory.
The UFS Archive for Contemporary Affairs is inviting the records and archives community to reflect on the following main topics:
- Preservation and Narrating History through Photographs
- Collection and Management of Photographs.
- How to Capture good photographs
- How photography changed the World
